Home comforts for Kilkenny as they claim early edge on Tipperary
The All-Ireland minor hurling championship final is set for Saturday, June 29 with Tipperary and Kilkenny locked at the top of the roll of honour on 21 titles apiece.
Kilkenny have been handed a major boost in their bid for All-Ireland minor hurling glory after winning a toss for home venue.
The Cats are set to face Tipperary and with the two counties agreeing to toss a coin for a home venue, Kilkenny were the fortunate ones.
UPMC Nowlan Park will now host the decider on Saturday week, June 29 at 5.30pm.

Kilkenny defeated Clare in the All-Ireland semi-final at the weekend, emerging 2-23 to 2-20 victors after extra time with Adrian Mullen’s little brother, Jake, scoring 13 points.
James Woodlock’s Tipperary also needed extra-time in their semi-final, as they disposed of Galway.
If the counties meet again in an All-Ireland minor final the game will take place at Semple Stadium.
Kilkenny are chasing a first minor title since 2014, with the two counties joint top overall in the roll of honour with 21 All-Irelands apiece at this level.
Cork are next with 19, while Galway have 14, with a massive drop then to Dublin (4), with Wexford, Waterford, Limerick and Offaly all on 3, while current holders Clare have 2.
