Hungarian national football team head coach Marco Rossi has announced his 24-man squad for the team’s November UEFA Nations League match against the Netherlands and Germany, m4Sport wrote.
There are two significant changes from Marco Rossi’s October squad: Krisztofer Horváth and Martin Ádám are not in the team this time, and the strikers are replaced by Zsombor Gruber from Ferencváros and Levente Szabó, who is in excellent form at Eintracht Braunschweig in Bundesliga 2 – both are preparing with the national team for the first time. Péter Gulácsi has not been included in the squad this time either, by his own decision, and the goalkeeper trio of Dénes Dibusz, Péter Szappanos and Balázs Tóth remains. The national team head coach is confident in his new recruits, as Kornél Szűcs, Dániel Gera and Tamás Nikitscher have been called up again.
The Hungarian national team are third in Group 3 of Division A of the Nations League after four rounds, five points ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the same points as the Netherlands but a worse goal difference.
After the group stage, the top two finishers will progress to the quarter-finals, the third will play a group match with one of the second-placed teams from Division B, while the last will be eliminated.
In the last two rounds of the Nations League 2024-2025 group stage, the national team will first travel to the Netherlands on November 16 and three days later play Germany at home.
