A 20-year-old man from Nicosia was arrested in connection with a string of thefts, the police announced on Tuesday.

The man was arrested on Monday night, with a search of his home having uncovered “various products”, which, according to the police, he admitted he had stolen during a number of burglaries, two of which were carried out in school canteens.

He also reportedly told the police that a motorcycle in the underground car park of the apartment building in which he lives was also stolen.

He is expected to appear in court on Tuesday, with the police’s investigation into the matter ongoing.
