Shots were fired at an apartment block in the northern Nicosia suburb of Omorphita, the Turkish Cypriot police said on Thursday.

They said the shots had been fired at around 4.35am on Wednesday, but that they had only been made aware of it”.

Newspaper Kibris reported that the initial investigations found that no person had been injured in the shooting, and that the cause of the incident and the identities of those involved are yet to be determined.
