Construction material prices decrease slightly in September

The Construction Materials Price Index recorded a slight decrease on an annual basis for September 2024, according to data from the Cyprus Statistical Service.
The index reached 117.27 points during this time, with 2021 acting as the base year set at 100 points.
This marks a marginal drop of 0.02 per cent compared to the same month in the previous year.
Month-on-month, the decline was more pronounced, with a decrease of 0.35 per cent from August 2024.
By major product category, the index showed a significant decrease in metal products by 2.85 per cent, while increases were observed in electromechanical items (3.62 per cent), wood products, insulation, chemicals and plastics (1.06 per cent), mineral products (0.59 per cent), and minerals (0.33 per cent).
For the period January to September 2024, the index recorded a decrease of 1.14 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
