A 71-year-old man wanted by Interpol for drug crimes was arrested in Cyprus, police said on Saturday.

Officers received an Interpol tip about his whereabouts and he was arrested in connection with drug offences on Friday afternoon.

The 71-year-old man from Czechia was detained and procedures to extradite him are set to begin soon.
