Police arrested a 32-year-old resident of Larnaca on Wednesday, under suspicion of burglary.
A police statement said that the burglary case was reported to the police by a 65-year-old woman on August 5.
According to the woman, around 2pm, while she was in Larnaca, she was approached on foot by an unknown man, who grabbed the bag she was holding.
The 65-year-old woman resisted, leading the perpetrator to raise a sharp object and slightly injure her arm.
After the offender managed to wrestle the bag away, he fled in a car, in an unknown direction, it was reported.
From the police investigations, evidence was secured against the 32-year-old, based on which a warrant for his arrest was issued.
