Presidents Radev and Herzog discussed aspects of the Middle East security situation, the possibilities for de-escalation of the military conflict in the region, as well as humanitarian issues, the statement said.
The phone call was held on the initiative of the Israeli head of State. The two presidents also spoke by phone at the beginning of April, BTA recalls. Bulgaria supports and is part of the international efforts to cease fire, release the hostages, restore dialogue and find a peaceful resolution to the conflict in the Gaza Strip as soon as possible, President Rumen Radev stated at that time.
