Amanda Serrano on how her life has changed after Katie Taylor rematch

Amanda Serrano has opened up about how her life has changed following her recent rematch with Katie Taylor in Dallas.

Despite losing via unanimous decision, Serrano left the fight with plenty of credit in the bank, with her and Taylor producing another Fight of the Year calibre bout.

An estimated 60 million households will likely have tuned into the fight on the biggest payday in Serrano and Taylor's careers.

Having previously sold out Madison Square Garden in a headline bout, the possibilities for a trilogy bout between the pair now appear endless, with a Croke Park grudge match still on the cards.

Now a few million dollars richer and with a higher profile than ever before, Serrano was asked in a recent interview how her life has changed since the bout.

“Well, I'm more recognised; I have more celebrity friends now. It's been truly amazing this whole experience,” she told a TV interview.

“Signing with MVP has been, hands down, the best experience of my life, but now being able to fight on Netflix in front of so many people and so many households is truly an honour, and now everyone knows women can fight and people know who I am.”

The Peurto Rican fighter suffered a nasty cut above her eye following a clash of heads with Taylor, but she insisted she is feeling okay despite the injury.

“My eye is fine. I got eight stitches. The bone is a little sore, but I'm good to go if I have to go. I can go to the gym today if I want to, but I'm not.”

Despite being docked a point for that incident, Taylor won the fight. The pair previously met in an epic in 2022, with the Bray boxer coming out on top.
