Big Brother fans want one housemate OUT as he sparks fury with offensive joke

One joke did not go down well with Big Brother viewers as many of them have begged for newcomer Ryan, 28, to leave the house already.

ITV2 viewers were given an insight into what's ahead as the popular reality TV show returned to our screens on Sunday (October 6, 2024) with 16 new housemates ready to take on the challenge in the hopes of bagging a £100k cash prize.

However, Big Brother fans spotted their least favourite contestant within minutes as Ryan entered the competition with an inappropriate joke as he said: "I think I'm strong, opinionated. There's a lot of woke people out there. It's all well and good if you want to use certain pronouns and I get that. It gets a bit confusing sometimes when people identify as a spoon or whatnot."

While he later said that he would be "an absolutely amazing housemate" Big Brother fans were in disagreement as they fumed over on Twitter, now X. Many of them took to the social media platform to slam the Stockport native, who works in marketing and events.

"I know I'm the worst type of annoying because if someone said this to me, I would begin telling him that I actually identify as a spoon and would take it incredibly seriously just to show him how much nobody has done that before", one of them wrote on X.

Another echoed: "Ironic that Ryan said it’s confusing when people identify as ‘spoons’ when his the biggest f****** one in the house." A third viewer then jumped in: "Imagine going on Big Brother and making your vt all about hating pronouns like that’s your entire personality, absolute weapon of a man." One final fan agreed: "using ur big brother intro to be a t*** about pronouns was a crazy move ryan."

Ryan introduced himself as a fun-loving 28-year-old, making his "childhood dream" come true by entering the Big Brother household, as he promised to invest and donate his winnings to a good cause, if he was to leave the house a winner. Unfortunately, the aversion online viewers had for him was shared with those who witnessed Ryan's entrance. After his interview with presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best, Ryan was copiously booed by the crowd over his anti-woke views.

This led more TV watchers to express their grievances with Ryan. "Booing Ryan immediately as he deserves mmhmmm good job crowd", one wrote, just as another continued: "Ryan talking about people identifying as spoons. Loserr." But Ryan wasn't their only complaint.

During Sunday's launch show, viewers were introduced to Rosie, 29, as the first housemate - who is a dental assistant originally from Essex but she's now based in Cornwall. Viewers were a big fan of Rosie but noticed that the housemate had an unfortunate habit just minutes into the launch show as she kept screaming.
