Drogheda United v Wexford LIVE score updates, TV channel info, stream and more from FAI Cup semi-final

A date at the Aviva Stadium beckons for the winner of today's FAI Cup semi-final between Drogheda United and Wexford.

It has been a mixed season for both sides domestically with Drogheda sitting just one spot off bottom in the League of Ireland table.

Wexford sit fifth in the first division but if they manage to win their game in hand will be just one point off second.

The winner of today's game meets Derry City on November 10 at the Aviva Stadium after Michael Duffy's brace guided the Brandywell outfit to victory on Friday night.

Drogheda hit form at just the right time, putting together a run of results that has seen them move seven-points clear of Dundalk in the race to avoid automatic relegation.

But First Division Wexford have lost just once in their last 11 games - and won 10 of their last 14 - in all competitions and will relish this chance to cause an upset.

Today's game kicks off at 2.50 pm and is available to watch live on RTE Two and stream on the RTE Player. The game takes place at United Park in Drogheda.

We will have live score updates live from Drogheda as well as pre-game build-up and post-match reaction.

Blow for Drogheda United with striker Frantz Pierrot forced off after 31 minutes. He walked off unaided but it appears to be an injury with Pierrot deep in conversation with manager Kevin Doherty and assistant Daire Doyle at the dugout. Adam Foley is on to replace him

We're over the midway point of the half and this FAI Cup semi-final has yet to spark into life. Wexford are certainly holding their own and have carved out the better chances, with Drogheda offering little threat so far. Striker Frantz Pierrot got up for a header moments ago, but it was well off target. The home crowd are a little subdued, having been pretty raucous earlier.

29 minutes gone at Weavers Park and it's still Drogheda United 0, Wexford 0

Another effort from Wexford, this time off a quick throw-in. Darragh Levingston pumps the ball into the box and Thomas Oluwa is up, but can't get his header on target. Two quick half chances for Wexford

Wexford win a free over the far side of the ground. It's whipped in, then headed clear but falls to Sean McHale. His shot from the edge of the box zips wide of Luke Dennison's post. He didn't catch it as cleanly as he would have liked, but First Division outfit Wexford are settling into this game.

Free kick here for Drogheda after nine minutes, about 30 yards out. Shane Farrell stands over it and clips a ball into the box, but it's overdone and runs out of play without reaching a team-mate. Wasted opportunity

Both sides are feeling each other out here, with little in the way of goalmouth action, but Wexford's Mikie Rowe gets the first shot away but, from distance, it's easily gathered by Drogheda United goalkeeper Luke Dennison
