One man has been arrested after half a million euros of herbal cannabis was seized at Dublin Airport on Sunday as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dog Jack.

A total of 25 kgs of cannabis, with an estimated value of €500,000, was discovered concealed in vacuum-packed packages within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Thailand.

An Garda Síochána arrested a male in his 30’s and is currently detained, under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996, at a Garda Station in Dublin.
