Dara O'Shea set for Brentford move as Burnley line up Ireland defender's replacement

Dara O'Shea is set for a £8 million move to Brentford as his club Burnley have lined up a replacement for the Ireland defender.

O'Shea, 25, has started Burnley’s opening two Championship games but is now set to join Thomas Frank’s Premier League outfit.

The Dubliner spent a single season in the top flight with Burnley after a £7 million move from West Brom.

Despite the Clarets' relegation from the top tier, O'Shea impressed and is now set for a return to Premier League football.

Brentford have just made room in their squad for a new centre-half by selling Zanka to Belgian club Anderlecht.

Burnley, who have won their opening two matches in the Championship, have turned to Chelsea defender Bashir Humphreys to replace O'Shea.

Clarets boss Scott Parker is set to seal the season-long loan signing of the highly-rated 21-year-old, with Humphreys due for a medical at Turf Moor tomorrow.
