Dublin Airbnb prices through the roof for Taylor Swift Aviva Stadium concerts

Prices for Airbnb accommodation have skyrocketed ahead of Taylor Swift’s arrival in Dublin.

Fans booking accommodation for the singer's world famous Eras Tour in Dublin are forking out up to 34 percent more than the usual for an overnight stay in the capital.

Recent data collected on behalf of analytics platform Stocklytics shows nearby Airbnbs in the city see an average price hike of 34 percent for her June dates at the Aviva Stadium.

The data collected reflected Airbnb prices for one week before concerts, the actual dates of the concerts and one week after to find the average costs of an overnight stay.

And fans travelling to the capital can expect to fork out well over €500 for two nights if they want to stay anywhere near the venue.

The difference in price between the week before Taylor is due to arrive to the price during her concert dates is, on average, €70 per night.

Fans would need to spend an average of €535 if they want to book two nights around the gig dates, which would come to an average price of €267 for one night.

This gives an approximate percentage increase of 34 percent respectively, and is based on the cost of two adults.

Research also examined prices at Dublin Premier Inn branches, but while there was no massive change in prices, one of the closest hotels to the Aviva Stadium, Dublin City Centre (Temple Bar) was completely sold out for the dates June 28 to 30 - showing the singer’s dominance in the city.
