Woman arrested in connection with Cork crash in which Sheila Dunne died

A woman has been arrested as part of an investigation into the death of a female aged in her 50s following a road traffic collision in Cork more than two months ago.

On February 11 of this year, mum-of-two Sheila Dunne was involved in a single-vehicle collision in the Sarsfield Court area of Glanmire in Co Cork.

Gardai issued an appeal for information after attending the scene of the collision with emergency services, who rushed Sheila Dunne to hospital with serious injuries. She was pronounced dead at Cork University Hospital two days later. The second occupant of the car, a woman aged in her 40s, received treatment for injuries which were not life-threatening.
