Man arrested after Dublin house seriously damaged in criminal fire incident


A man in his 40s has been arrested by gardaí as part of an investigation into an incident of criminal damage by fire in Dublin last month.



On March 20, gardaí and fire services were called out to a residence in Ballinteer, Dublin 17 at around 1:30am after a fire started at the front of the house.



Although occupied at the time of the incident, all of the people who were in the house at the time managed to exit to safety.

While no injuries were reported, considerable damage was caused to the property as a result of the blaze.



Following extensive investigations, including the seizure of two vehicles, gardaí arrested a man in his 40s earlier today, under the Criminal Damage Act 1991. The man is currently detained at DMR Garda Station.
