Man injured after being hit by car

A man was injured on Friday morning when he was hit by a car, the police said.

The accident took place in St Anne Street, Tarxien, at 9.15am.

The man, aged 74 of Tarxien, was hit by a Toyota Hi Ace driven by a 53-year-old man, also of Tarxien.

He was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
