GWU signs a new Collective Agreement with the Responsible Gaming Foundation

A new Collective Agreement has been signed between the General Workers' Union (GWU) and the Responsible Gaming Foundation.

An agreement which covers the years between 2022 and 2025, provides improvements in the working conditions of all employees, as well as a new structure for all grades and more opportunities for promotions. The agreement also offers substantial increases in salaries and improvements in various conditions, rewards development, and training while ensuring family-friendly measures.

Riccarda Darmanin, Secretary of the Professionals, Finances and Services Section signed on behalf of the GWU, Kevin O'Neill as General Manager of the Foundation, and Adrian Scerri as workers’ representative.

Riccarda Darmanin thanked both parties concerned for the sense of goodwill they showed during the negotiations and thus concluded to the satisfaction of both sides. She also thanked the Shop Steward and members for the support they give to the Union.

Kevin O'Neill said he is happy that the negotiations took place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and with the desire to continue improving the conditions and salaries of all RGF workers, while he thanked all those who contributed.

This agreement covers workers who offer a help and support service to those who have an irresponsible gambling problem.
