The ranking of HR companies in Slovakia is topped by the company INDEX NOSLUŠ, which is strong in the field of personnel leasing. In this article you can find basic information about HR companies; however, a separate ranking for employment agencies, executive search firms and quality service providers is also available.

INDEX NOSLUŠ had the most permanent employees in 2023 and based on data provided by FinStat, had the highest average net profit as well as sales revenues in the past three years (2020-2022).

The ten largest recruitment agencies filled 3,386 positions for companies in 2023. Compared to 2022, this is a 34-percent decline. ManpowerGroup reported the highest number (1,197 placements, most of which were allocated for trade, financial sector and logistics).

In 2023, the ten largest temporary employment agencies leased 15,318 employees with a 12-percent decline compared to 2022. INDEX NOSLUŠ, which leased 4,486 people, was number one.

“Thanks to detailed information on the labour market that we have been bringing in our annual Career and Employment Guide for 25 years now, we became an important source of information for HR managers in Slovakia,” said Ján Pallo, publisher of The Slovak Spectator.

The ranking was created thanks to the cooperation between The Slovak Spectator and the company FinStat. Five criteria were used to evaluate which agencies were the largest.

How many employees worked in HR companies?

The ranking does not include employment agencies for direct searches of experts or managers (executive search firms) because they use different methods for placements.

Companies that owe more than €100,000 to the state in overdue payments are not included in the rankings.

When creating the ranking, the following factors of varying weights were considered:

the average number of permanent employees in 2023 - leased employees not included (45% weight)
the total number of placements in 2023 (leased positions not included) while white collars have a value double that of blue collars (27% weight)
worked out hours of leased employees in 2023 - only permanent employees (10% weight)
average sales revenue between the years 2020-2022 (13% weight)
average net profit between the years 2020-2023 (5% weight).
