Blossoming together: Celebrating community, art, and charity with IWCB's Spring Soiree
Step into the vibrant world of the International Women's Club of Bratislava as we embrace the enchanting allure of spring with our third annual Spring Soiree.
As May blooms with the promise of new beginnings and the vibrant renaissance of spring, the International Women's Club of Bratislava (IWCB) eagerly anticipates its third annual Spring Soiree, a celebration of life, love, and artistic expression. This year, our soirée takes on a stylish twist with a captivating fashion show by our talented member, Renata Kliska, showcasing her exquisite collection, La Rena, alongside an enchanting display of artworks by our diverse community of painters, photographers, and sculptors within the IWCB.
Renata has shared with me that after the pleasant surprise earlier this year in the form of the Fashion Oscar del la Moda award, she is thrilled to have been asked to dress the IWCB members, turning them into fashion models for the Spring Soiree runway show.
Building on the success of last year's Spring Soiree musical extravaganza, which showcased the angelic voices of our very own Julia Radosz and the Superar children's choir, we continue on our mission of helping others. Superar is one of the remarkable non-profit organizations we have featured in several IWCB events, and it is represented by our dedicated charity committee member, Lucia Daubner.
We asked Lucia what is it about charitable action that fills her cup, and this is her answer:
“I often reflect on how much it disturbs me when someone is harmed, mocked, verbally or physically attacked, and how little it takes for us to change that. Sometimes all it takes is to listen, understand, and refrain from judging. I am immensely grateful to be a member of the IWCB, as well as work at the non-profit organization, where we teach children mutual respect, cooperation, and unity.
In my surroundings I’ve noticed that where ever there is a non-governmental organization helping, there is always a person behind it. A person with a moving story, enthusiasm, courage, and endless hope with faith that what they do makes sense. Among my friends, I have countless of you who help people in need, underprivileged ones with disabilities, seniors, fight for our democratic values, against corruption, improving the quality of education, culture, reversing the climate change, and many others. Only together can we be more impactful and cohesive.
