The city will symbolically open its doors once again to residents and visitors alike on Saturday at 09:00 at the Primate's Palace. From 11:00 to 17:00, visitors can experience the unique Bratislava Astronomical Clock - time will be announced on the hour thanks to performances by street artists on the balcony of the Primate's Palace.

The programme of the 21st edition - more than 350 events- was prepared in cooperation with city and third party organisations, as well as 14 boroughs.

It includes, among other things, tours through otherwise unavailable premises; guided tours of 20 historical buildings such as the St Salvator pharmacy, the historical building of the Slovak National Theatre, the YMCA building, both Stará Tržnica and Nová Tržnica and more; there will also be street shows, concerts, and sightseeing cruises on the Danube with the legendary Propeller ferry operating between both banks of the river. The ferry Martin will transport 160 passengers to the other side of the river at once.

Visitors can also explore the city during Cabriobus rides. The mayor of Bratislava, Matúš Vallo, will be a bus guide this year again.

In addition to cultural events, visitors will also be able to enjoy various activities. In the Janko Kráľ City Park they can look forward trying skateboarding, parkour, and cycling. There will be a chance to see the capabilities of guide dogs, how the visually impaired can experience the city too, buy souvenirs, and more.

The popular Good Market on Panenská Street will also take place on Saturday, from 10:00 to 17:00.

Although most of the programme will be in Slovak, there will be several tours in different languages, including English, German, and Ukrainian.

For example, on Saturday starting at 14:00, there will be a tour through the city in each of the languages. Capacity is limited, but you can make a reservation here.

A tour through post-socialist Bratislava in a minivan will be run on Sunday. Registration is required at info@authenticslovakia.com by April 18.

You can learn more about the full programme and activities here.
