A Malta-born man has been elected to the UK's House of Commons.
Kevin Bonavia, who lists himself as being from Rabat, Malta, was elected for the county of Stevenage for the UK's Labour Party.
The last time the Country elected a Labour Party candidate was in 2005.
Posting on Facebook, Bonavia said: "It's a new morning in Stevenage and I'm so proud to be our new Labour MP. Thank you to everyone who put their trust in me. My mission is to serve everyone in our town and villages to the best of my ability."
It was reported by the Times of Malta that he had moved to the UK at the age of 8.
