The winners of the Youth Empowerment Awards of 2024 were announced on Thursday.

They were announced during a ceremony, the awards of which recognise the commitment and dedication that youth organizations offer to provide opportunities for young people, with government continuing to implement the National Youth Policy.

This initiative was organized by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ in collaboration with the University Students' Council (KSU) and with the support of funds from the Eurodesk platform.

Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Research, and Innovation Keith Azzopardi Tanti acknowledged the exceptional contributions of various individuals and youth organizations, and the positive impact they have on society.

"Youth are at the centre of government's policy. The Youth Empowerment Awards strengthen our commitment to youth by continuing to offer support to youth organizations,” he said.

Azzopardi Tanti said that these awards represent recognition of the impact that youth organizations have had on their peers, at the university, and in the community, and they are a call to continue exploring new ideas and making a positive difference.

The winners of the awards are:

Positive Community Contributions Award - European Studies Organisation (ESO)

Personal Development Award - Junior Chamber of Advocates

Youth-Friendly Information Award - Association of Linguistics and Language Technology

Personal Development Award - Malta University Historical Society - MUHS

Youth-Friendly Information Award - Għaqda tal-Malti tal-Università

Personal Development Award - Malta Neurological Students Organisation (MNSS)

Personal Development Award - ELSA Malta

Personal Development Award - SACES

Personal Development Award - UM Racing
