Wasteserv said in a statement that its workers on duty at Tal-Kus are obliged to wear protective outfits.
This was stated in light of alleged complaints made by Wasteserv workers to journalists in regard to a lack of protective clothing.
Easteserv pointed out in the statement that all workers are obliged to don hi-visibility wear, FFP3 masks, safety goggles and gloves. The wearing or otherwise of protective wear depends on the nature of the work, and this is indicated in directives and regulations.
The Head of the Health and Safety Section was at Tal-Kus this morning to carry out an inspection, and it was ascertained that the necessary protective wear is available for use on site.
