Robbery in Maria Sole Agnelli's villa near Rome
Housekeeper, guard of Gianni's sister tied up, safe broken
Thieves staged a robbery Wednesday
night in the villa of Maria Sole Agnelli, sister of late Fiat
boss and 'uncrowned King of Italy' Gianni Agnelli, in
Torrimpietra near Rome.
The thieves, after tying up the security guard and the
housekeeper, stole a safe containing jewelry and luxury watches.
Agnelli, who was sleeping, was not woken up and did not notice
anything.
The amount of loot has yet to be quantified.
The Carabinieri of the Ostia Investigative Unit and the
Civitavecchia company are on site investigating.
The images from the video surveillance cameras are being
examined.
Maria Sole Agnelli, 99, is an entrepreneur, politician, and a
major shareholder of Gianni Agnelli & Co.
