Blizzard halts search for two stranded mountaineers
Rescuers among 18 people stuck at Gran Sasso hostel
The search for two mountaineers who
got stranded on Corno Grande mountain in the Apennines on Sunday
has been suspended because of a violent blizzard.
Indeed 11 members of the Alpine rescue are among 18 people stuck
in a hostel at Campo Imperatore on the Gran Sasso massif because
of the extreme weather.
They are likely to have to stay there on Christmas Day too.
