Salvini says autonomy is law, there is no going back
It is merit and efficiency says League leader at Pontida
League leader Matteo Salvini told the
party's annual rally at Pontida near Milan Sunday that its pet
policy of 'differentiated autonomy" had been approved despite
claims that it will worsen the north-south gap and there would
be no going back.
"Autonomy, after 30 years of battles, is a reality and a law of
the State and there is no going back", said Salvini, mounting
the stage.
Behind him were the parliamentary caucuse leaders and ministers
of the League that he defined as "our backbone".
On differentiated autonomy he added: "It is the future, it is
merit, efficiency".
