In an interview with Radio Marte, Milan's former CEO, Marco Fassone, revealed that he tried to bring ex-Milan manager and now Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti back to Milan during his time as CEO of the Rossoneri. He was quoted saying:

"It is true, I went to see him to understand his situation. But he had another year of his contract with Bayern, and as a great professional, he replied that he would stay and honor his contract in Germany".

Double blow for Torino

Double blow for Torino

Torino have suffered a double injury blow after Lyanco and Diego Laxalt picked up problems while on international duty.

Toro confirmed on their official website that Lyanco returned with an MCL injury in his right knee, while Laxalt suffered a myotendinous pull in his right thigh quadriceps.

The former Bologna defender will not undergo surgery, whereas the Milan loanee will continue to be assessed.

However, they could now miss the Granata’s next Serie A match against Inter on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Kevin Bonifazi remains on a personalised training programme and Iago Falque is still receiving treatment for a muscle problem.

Milan, no Mandzukic to the Rossoneri; why Maldini and Boban said no

Milan has said no to Mario Mandzukic. As Corriere della Sera writes (via CalcioMercato.com), Juventus' Croat was rejected by Boban and Maldini for two reasons: possible troubles in the locker room and due to financial reasons.
