Lucky Irish Lotto player one number off of life changing jackpot
The player matched five numbers and the bonus to win €30,570, but they were just one number off of the €2,624,636 jackpot
A lucky Irish Lotto player was just one number off of scooping the huge multi-million euro Lotto jackpot.
While no player managed to snag the whopping jackpot, worth a life changing €2,624,636, in total, over 50,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws including one winner of the Match Five + Bonus prize of €30,570.
The winning numbers were 6, 17, 27, 28, 35, 44 and the bonus 29. There were also 50 winners of the Raffle Prize each receiving €500.

There was no winner of the Lotto Plus 1 top prize, worth €1 million, although plenty of players managed to snap up prizes in the draw. The winning numbers were: 7, 15, 26, 41, 43, 44 and the bonus 30.
There was also no winner of the Lotto Plus 2 top prize worth €250,000, but one player scooped the Match 5 + Bonus prize of €2,500. The winning numbers were 4, 22, 28, 30, 31, 45 and the bonus 17.
Meanwhile, Lotto players are being urged to check their tickets after one lucky punter bagged a life-changing prize in Saturday night's draw.
Over 67,000 players won prizes in Saturday's Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, including one player who matched five numbers plus the bonus number to win the the Match 5 + Bonus prize of €73,741.
The winning numbers in Saturday’s (January 4) Lotto draw were: 5, 10, 13, 36, 37, 46 and the Bonus was 39.
The National Lottery has revealed that the Lotto winner purchased their Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw from Centra, Saint Lawrence Terrace, Lower Grange, Waterford.
Lotto bosses are now urging all players in the Waterford city area to check their tickets carefully and if you’re holding the winning ticket, be sure to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of your prize.
