Worrying scenes as Liverpool v Tottenham paused following serious injury to Spurs player Rodrigo Bentancur
The game was stopped for almost ten minutes after Rodrigo Bentancur suffered a serious looking injury.
There were worrying scenes at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium this evening after Spurs midfielder suffered a serious looking head injury that stopped proceedings for almost 10 minutes.
The incident occurred in the fifth minute of the game. While attempting a diving header from a corner, Bentancur remained on the ground after crashing awkwardly into the turf.
Both Spurs and Liverpool players immediately expressed concern for the wellbeing of the midfielder, and play was swiftly stopped.

Medical personal made their way onto the pitch and worked on Bentancur for around 10 minutes, giving the player oxygen before removing the former Juventus midfielder on a stretcher.
In a social media post released by the club, Spurs said: "Bentancur is stretchered off and we're forced into an early change.
"We're all with you, Lolo."
