Confirmed: Weather-hit Sigerso

All of this week’s weather-hit Sigerson Cup ties have been fixed for this Friday on a bumper day for the third level competition.

With weather conditions set to improve in the coming days, first up is the eagerly-awaited Belfast derby meeting of St. Mary’s and Queens at Davitts GAA (2pm) in Round 1 action.

Then at 5pm, Ryan Cup finalists DCU are at home at DCU Sportsground against MTU Kerry.

Also at 5pm, this time in Fethard Park, UCC go up against UCD and at 5.30pm it’s the meeting of ATU Galway and University of Limerick at Liam Mellows.

Then at 6.15pm, Technological University Dublin (TUD) go head to head with University College Galway (UCG) at Grangegorman.

The staggering of throw-in times continues with the GAA’s National Centre of Excellence at Abbotstown, near Blanchardstown, hosting the meeting of ATU Donegal and MTU Cork at 7pm.

And in the final tie of the seven taking place on Friday, TUS Midlands go up against Maynooth at 7.15pm at TUS Midlands.

The only tie which has taken place to date is holders University Ulster's comfortable victory over ATU Sligo.
