Mack Hansen wait goes on for Connacht and Ireland with URC disciplinary ruling now due on Thursday
The 26-year-old Ireland star went before a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday but it will be tomorrow morning before his fate is learned after post-match outburst
Connacht must wait until tomorrow morning for a decision after Mack Hansen's disciplinary hearing.
Hansen faced a URC independent disciplinary commission today over comments he made after the westerner's loss to Leinster before Christmas.
The 26-year-old Ireland winger complained that Connacht had been “pressured by 16 men instead of 15” in the Aviva Stadium and claimed that they had been “reffed out of the game for the first 40 minutes.”

Hansen later added: “I’m not making excuses by any means but, like, when you just get it week after week, I feel it’s got to be spoken about. Because it’s just getting to the point where it’s starting to really p*** us off because we just feel we’re getting played out of games and we never ever get any calls."
Hansen could face a fine or a ban under URC law 3.13.13, which states that foul play can include statements that are 'unsporting and/or insulting'.
The province is in action in the Challenge Cup on Friday, while Hansen will also be a key part of Simon Easterby's Ireland squad for the upcoming Six Nations if he is available.
Easterby has already lost Ulster prop Tom O'Toole for the opening two games against England (February 1) and Scotland (February 8) due a six-game ban he received in the wake of a red card offence in the recent URC defeat to Munster.
Meanwhile, Connacht duo Shane Jennings and Sean Jansen have signed new contracts - Jennings a one-year deal with the option of an additional year, and Jansen a two-year one.
Ireland under-20 and Sevens international Jennings is a product of the Connacht academy and earned his first pro contract in 2022, while New Zealander Jansen joined the province from Leicester Tigers in 2023.
“In Shane and Sean we have two players who arrived to us at a young age, but are continuing to excel and grow into really top-class players," said Connacht head coach Pete Wilkins.
"They never give less than 100% on the field and that work ethic is everything that we stand for at the club, so I’m delighted they’ve chosen to further their development here at Connacht.”
Connacht have confirmed that there will be further contract news to follow this week.
