Conor McGregor's Forged Irish Stout posts defiant message after setback
The former UFC star's brand has vowed to hit back in the new year.
Conor McGregor’s brand Forged Irish Stout have sent a defiant message, via social media, at the start of 2025.
The company has suffered a commercial backlash after McGregor lost a civil court case, in November, in which Nikita Hand (35) claimed he raped her.
Following the case verdict, an estimated 1,000 stores across Ireland and the UK decided to no longer sell whiskey and stout brands linked to McGregor. McGregor has vowed to appeal the case verdict.

On a post from the official Forged Irish Stout Instagram, it read: ‘" You think that's it. We've only just begun!" 2025 sees us launch in more markets than ever. The creamiest stout is here to take over,’ alongside a picture of a smiling McGregor.
Shortly after the trials conclusion, Dublin politician Ruth Coppinger called for the public to boycott the former UFC stars products.
“Obviously I feel people already are boycotting his products and there has been huge commercial backlash for Conor McGregor,” Ms Coppinger said.
“People shouldn’t support Conor McGregor, his products nor his premises.”
“I am surprised though that retailers have pulled his products because normally something like this doesn’t affect a person.
“So the backlash Conor McGregor is getting is significant - retailers and sponsors are reacting and long may it continue.”
