Meghan Markle rejoins Instagram as she hints at new beginnings with mysterious 2025 message
Meghan Markle appears to have made a return to the spotlight as she launched her own private Instagram account to share a message with her fans and followers
Meghan Markle appears to be stepping back into the limelight, having set up a personal Instagram account to share a new message.
The Duchess of Sussex seems to have launched an account under the straightforward username '@meghan', featuring just one post so far.
Yet, the account hasn't been given the official seal of approval with a blue tick verification. In the video, which was recorded by her husband, Prince Harry, the former Suits star is seen jogging on the beach before stooping down to scrawl '2025' in the damp sand.

She's heard brushing off her hands followed by a chuckle as she jogs away from the camera. While comments were disabled, the account has already attracted over 120,000 followers, reports the Mirror.
Meghan originally shut down all of her social media accounts in January 2018, just after getting engaged to Prince Harry.
Meghan's comeback on Instagram comes after she and Prince Harry spread some holiday joy with their 2024 Christmas card. Last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex unveiled a fresh image of their little ones, Archie, aged 5, and Lilibet, aged 3.
One of the six pictures featured in the festive greeting shows the children running towards their parents from behind. The card featured a smiling Meghan looking at Archie while Harry welcomes Lili, echoing his recent comments about her long, red locks that resemble her brother's.
"On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation," read the heartfelt note on the card.
The collection also features five additional photos of Prince Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, taken during their trips to Nigeria and Colombia this year. "We wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year," the message concludes.
For fans of the Royals, it was a rare opportunity to see the Sussexes' children, who were last seen in the couple's Netflix docuseries 'Harry and Meghan', released in December 2022. Almost five years after stepping back as senior royals, Harry and Meghan have continued the tradition of releasing their Christmas card photo, much like other members of the Royal Family.
The 2023 season's greeting showcased the Sussexes at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf-a jovial snapshot with Harry looking stylish in a black shirt and jacket, and Meghan stunning in an elegant dark green strapless dress. While fans eagerly anticipate their card each year, the couple has occasionally chosen not to include their children in it.
A source previously told People that Harry is careful about publicising his children - not for secrecy but to protect them from the limelight and guard against threats.
"Harry has been reluctant to show his children publicly, not out of a desire to hide them but to protect their privacy and safety from potential threats."
His primary concern is ensuring their normalcy and safety due to fears of abduction. "He wants them to lead as normal a life as possible without the fear of kidnapping or harm. Harry is determined to ensure that history doesn't repeat itself," he said, referring to the tragic death of Princess Diana.
