Bohemians confirm player departure after just five months of multi-year deal
The Gypsies are rebuilding their squad after a disappointing 2024 campaign
Alex Greive has left Bohemians as Alan Reynolds continues to reshape his squad for the 2025 season.
The New Zealand international arrived at the Gypsies on a "multi-year contract" from St Mirren in July and scored twice in 15 appearances, but that deal has now been cut short.
Bohs boss Alan Reynolds said: “Alex was one of a number of players we brought to the club midway through what was a difficult season. He gave us important options as we tried to freshen the squad up and improve competition for places.

“He worked extremely hard during his time here and had a positive impact on the team.
“We’ve had the squad back in preseason over the past number of weeks and we sat down with Alex before Christmas and we agreed that now was the right time for him to move on and seek opportunities elsewhere.

Reynolds added: “We wish him all the very best for the future and thank him for his contribution over the past number of months.”
Bohs have already signed striker Colm Whelan from Derry City and midfielders Niall Morahan and John Mountney from Sligo Rovers and Dundalk respectively.
