Richard E Grant 'falls in love with Cork' after pulling pints in little village pub
The actor is in the Rebel County for Christmas with his 'best pal' celebrity chef Clodagh McKenna and her husband, horse racing millionaire Harry Herbert
As far as Christmas breaks go, it's not too shabby - rubbing shoulders with some of Cork's top chefs and sampling pints in one of the Rebel County's finest pubs.
This might explain why renowned actor Richard E Grant - known for his roles in classics like Withnail and I, Star Wars and the recent hit Saltburn, as well as numerous TV shows including Downton Abbey - has declared he's 'falling in love with Cork'.
He's certainly got the perfect tour guide - he's visiting for the festive season with his 'best pals' Clodagh McKenna and her husband, horse racing millionaire Harry Herbert, reports Cork Beo. They've paid a visit to Ballymaloe and chef Rory O'Connell, and enjoyed lunch with Fingal Ferguson of Gubbeen Cheese fame, following a leisurely walk on Shanagarry Beach near Ballycotton.

The friends then headed further west, towards Schull, where they're thought to be spending the Christmas period in a secluded home, indulging in the best of Cork cuisine and taking strolls along the famous beaches. On Monday night, they were spotted at the renowned Levis Corner House pub in Ballydehob, where Grant and McKenna tried their hand at pulling pints behind the bar.
There was music and singing in the pub, known as one of the top spots for music in West Cork, and a great time was had by all. Grant took to Instagram to share a video of some classic West Cork hedgerows and hills, ending with himself and Clodagh in Levis's, enjoying a pint.
West Cork has become a popular Christmas destination for the more discerning rich and famous, with the coast west of Clonakilty boasting as many millionaires as you might find along the French Riviera at this time of year. Grant told regulars that he'll be flying back out of Cork airport to his home outside London after Christmas.
