Prince William's 'terrible fights' with 'secret' sister who will be at 45-person Christmas
Prince William's 'secret' step-sister will be joining the Royal Family for Christmas this year, but their relationship has been far from smooth in the past as they've had 'terrible fights'
This year, as they hang their stockings with care at Sandringham, the royals are set to welcome a 'secret' step-sister into the fold - Prince William's step-sis Laura Lopes. While there's been frostiness before, according to reports, it seems this Christmas is all about family unity for the Royals.
With a record number of 45 guests expected, Wills himself spilled the beans at a festive do in Wiltshire, telling everyone: "We'll be in Norfolk, at Sandringham. We'll be 45 for Christmas. It won't be quiet, it will be noisy."
The top tier of the monarchy, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, will hold court at the busy Christmas table. There’ll be laughter and Royal cheer from young cousins, while elder royals concentrate on supporting one another through various health scares.

And it appears old wounds may be closing up, as Queen Camilla’s daughter, art buff Laura, 46, clocks in her second Christmas appearance with the Windsors. Her and her brother Tom were initially part of the clan thanks to their mum's first marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles.
Fun fact: Laura made her debut into the world just in time for the 1978 New Year celebrations, reports the Mirror.
Like Kate Middleton, fellow mother-of-three Laura shares a love for art. She pursued Art History with Marketing at Oxford Brookes University before establishing the fine art gallery Eleven in 2005.
That same year, Laura's world was transformed when her mother, Camilla, married Prince Charles in a civil ceremony near Windsor Castle. This high-profile marriage meant that she and food writer Tom became step-siblings to Princes William and Harry, a transition that wasn't always smooth.
Despite being seen laughing together at the April 2005 ceremony, it's been suggested that William and Laura had "terrible fights". In her 2010 book 'Harry and William', author Katie Nicholl penned: "William and Laura used to have terrible fights over who was to blame for their broken homes. William would blame Camilla for all the hurt she had caused his mother [Princess Diana], which would send Laura into a rage. Laura was not having any of it. She would take a hard line and fire back at William, 'Your father has ruined my life'."
In 2006, Laura tied the knot with chartered accountant Harry Lopes in a Wiltshire ceremony attended by Princes William and Harry.
Like her mother, Laura chose Anna Valentine for her wedding dress, which she complemented with a diamond-encrusted tiara - a family heirloom that Camilla wore during her first walk down the aisle.
Harry, an ex-Calvin Klein model with blue-blooded lineage, should have no trouble blending in at Sandringham's festive table. According to Hello! magazine, Harry is the descendant of Massey Lopes, the 2nd Baron Roborough, and is poised to inherit Gnaton Hall in Devon as well as Skelpick Estate in the Scottish Highlands someday.
He and Laura are parents to their three children: Eliza, aged 16, and 14 year old twins Gus and Louis, who've become fixtures at Royal events, suggesting a warming of past frictions.
Eliza had the honour of being a bridesmaid for Prince William and Princess Kate in 2011, with King Charles, her step-grandfather, hoisting her up on Buckingham Palace's balcony to greet the jubilant crowds. Her brothers, Gus and Louis, served as Pages of Honour at the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla, alongside Prince George, their step-cousin.
This all unfolds as the Royal Family gears up for a particularly resplendent Christmas, drawing close their kin after a year of challenges. Jennie Bond, the former BBC Royal correspondent, expressed to OK! magazine: "After the year they've had, I'm sure it's going to mean the world to the King and Queen to have as many of their family as possible joining them for Christmas. And, as the number of youngsters increases, so the celebrations become more and more child oriented. Which is exactly what Christmas should be all about."
