Joe Exotic makes plea to Donald Trump as he faces bleak Christmas in prison
The Tiger King star says he will spend the festive period 'watching grown-a** men sit around, looking like two year olds, drooling and puking on themselves'
It's been five years since Joe Exotic was convicted on 17 federal charges of animal abuse and two counts of attempted murder for hire in connection with the plot to kill Carole Baskin.
The star of Netflix's Tiger King received a sentence of 22 years in prison for his actions - shortened by a year after a 2022 appeal. However, he continues to fight for his freedom. Now, as he faces another Christmas behind bars, he has explained what's in store for him this festive period, while doubling down on his plea to incoming president Donald Trump.
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror from Fort Worth prison in Texas, he complained about the conditions he is facing, the food he will likely receive on Christmas Day, and his current fears. Opening up on the apparent conditions he is facing, Joe - whose real name is Joseph Maldonado - claimed: "If you could imagine living in a third-world country in a house with holes in the ceilings, holes in the walls and all of your neighbours are in your house smoking crack and passed out all day long [that's what awaits].

"I will more than likely just eat another Ramen soup because the BOP is broke and their holidays meals have went to s***. I will spend the day watching grown-a** men sit around... looking like two year olds drooling and puking on themselves."
After his wild allegations, he went on to make a plea to Donald Trump, claiming: "I am innocent and if you would take ten minutes and watch the depositions of the government witnesses admitting to perjury and a plot to kill me you would see I am innocent... You left me once, please don't leave me here another four years."
Earlier in the year he had taken to trying to get reality TV family the Kardashians help him in his battle. He took to Instagram in February to plead for Kourtney Kardashian to tell her sister Kim Kardashian to get him out of "hell hole" prison.
The unexpected plea was positioned in the comments section of Kourtney's snap of her son Rocky. Joe's comment read: "Awwww cute, also please have your sister help me get out of this hell hole." To which one fan responded: "THE TIGER KING HIMSELF." To which Joe replied: "Yeah I'm ready to film my comeback series so need @kimkardashian to push Biden to sign my pardon."
Joe doubled down in his latest comments, suggesting he would love a new TV show if he was ever to be released. He told us: "My biggest plan is to testify in front of congress about all of this and the problems within the prison system. I will have my own talk show that does not lean right or left and will make a real documentary about the lies that Netflix put out during Tiger King."
