Young man hospitalised with serious injuries after early-morning assault in Dublin
No arrests have yet been made and Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward
A young man is being treated in hospital after receiving serious injuries in an assault in Dublin in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Gardaí are investigating the assault, which occurred on Wexford Street, Dublin 2. A man in his early 20s was seriously injured during the incident and is currently being treated at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
No arrests have been made in relation to the incident but Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.

A statement released by An Garda Síochána read: “Gardaí are investigating an assault which occurred on Wexford St, Dublin 2 during the early hours of Saturday morning, 21st December 2024.
“A man (early 20s) is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries at Beaumont Hospital.The scene of the incident has been examined by local Scenes of Crime.No arrests have been made at this time.
“Anyone with information or who may have witnessed this incident can contact Pearse Street Garda Station on 01 666 9000. Investigations ongoing.”
