Irish rockers Fontaines D.C. are gearing up for their biggest hometown shows yet, with the chart-topping band set to play two sold-out gigs at Dublin's 3Arena this weekend.
The Dublin-made, now London-based five-piece have emerged as one of the biggest bands in the world in recent years, with their latest album, Romance, garnering a host of five-star reviews from NME, The Guardian, and Rolling Stone UK.
Songwriting legend Elton John has also praised the Irish rockers, declaring them “the best band out there at the moment.”

Fontaines D.C. continue to go from strength to strength, and are coming hot off the back of a critically acclaimed sold-out UK arena tour, having already sold out London’s 45,000 capacity Finsbury Park (5 July) over eight months up front.
Now the band are set to return to Dublin to play two shows at the 3Arena this Friday (December 6) and Saturday (December 7) and we have all the info you need if you were lucky enough to snag a ticket.
Tickets
Tickets to both of Fontaines D.C.'s gig at the 3Arena on Friday and Saturday are sold but fans are still in with a chance of seeing the band live.
A small number of resale tickets to both gigs are available via Ticketmaster, but you'll have to be quick.
Support act
Joining the Dublin band on the bill at the 3Arena on Friday and Saturday will be acclaimed London-based group Sorry.
The band are known for their carefully curated pick-n-mix approach, combined with elegantly executed visuals, which has led them to become one of the most vaunted bands in recent memory.
Stage times
Doors at the 3Arena will open at 6.30pm on Friday and Saturday, and under 16s heading to the gig must be accompanied by an adult.
Sorry are expected to kick things off at around 8pm, with Fontaines D.C. expected on stage at around 9pm. The concert should finish up around 10.30pm.

Fans can look forward to hearing Fontaines D.C. playing their biggest hits at their upcoming Dublin gigs, with the likes of Starburster, Boys in the Better Land and Desire all-but-guaranteed to be included in the band's setlist.

How to get to the 3Arena
By train/Luas:
The Luas is typically the fastest way to get to the 3Arena via public transport from the city.
If you're travelling by train to Dublin, simply board the Luas Red Line to The Point stop from either Connolly or Heuston Station. This will helpfully take you straight to the doors of the 3Arena.

By bus:
There are also several bus routes that take you close to the 3Arena, including the 151, which leaves you closest to the venue. The service runs every 10 minutes at rush hour.
If you are taking this route, get off at Castleforbes Road, the closest stop to the venue, which is just a two-minute walk from the 3arena. Full details on buses, routes and specific stops can be found at www.dublinbus.ie.
Walking:
The 3Arena is roughly a 20 minutes' walk along the quays from O'Connell Street in Dublin's city centre.
From O'Connell Street, walk down the Northside Quays past the IFSC until you arrive at the indoor venue.
Driving:
Driving to the 3Arena on the night isn't recommended, but if you are, there'll be limited car parking available at Point Village car park.
