United Airlines horror as 'racist passenger caught on camera harassing fellow travellers'
Pervez Taufiq and his Indian-American family were onboard a transfer bus having just landed in Los Angeles when they were subjected to the sickening barrage of abuse
A man has captured the moment a hateful passenger hurled racist insults at him and his family on their United Airlines flight.
Pervez Taufiq and his Indian-American family were onboard a transfer bus having just landed in Los Angeles when they were subjected to the sickening barrage.
Pervez was travelling with his wife and three sons and had just arrived on a flight from Cancun in Mexico during which the female passenger had been “harassing” his son, before she started hurling slurs at the family as they rode the bus to the terminal.

“Your family is from India, you have no respect, you have no rules, you think you can push everyone, push, push, push,” the woman told him in the clip from November 24. “That’s what you think you are. You guys are f–king crazy.”
After Pervez told the passenger she should tell him again to have “more curry, right?” the foul-mouthed woman then says she is going to pull out her phone “to record your f–king tandoori ass,” the clip shows.
The dad turns to someone off-screen saying that the woman should be put off the bus for being “rude and racist” before she accuses him of being racist towards her. She also says that he is not American but Pervez replies that he was born in the US.
“It’s one of those things you feel like an out-of-body experience with,” Taufiq told The New York Post. “We’ve seen things like that on the internet, we just never thought we’d be in one.”
The woman, who had been seated next to Pervez’s 11-year-old son on the flight, asked him if he was Indian, asked him where in the country he was from, and threatened to talk to his parents during the flight, he said.
Pervez confronted the woman on the shuttle bus after they landed, and accused her of telling his children to shut up as the family was talking, sparking her on-camera meltdown. Airline staff can be seen going up to the woman as he shouts, “Get off the bus, racist”.
The woman, who he said was “clearly” drunk on the flight, was removed by staff after a bystander told workers that she had started the trouble.
Pervez and his wife work as photographers at events around the world, including more than 200 weddings per year. Because their work causes them to travel all the time they home-school their three boys.
The dad-of-three said he had received numerous messages of support after he posted the clip online. “It’s been refreshing to see how many people have reached out and just made sure we’re OK,” he said.
