Fans of I'm A Celebrity have shared their excitement over the public vote for the first eviction of the new series opening, amid a warning from some viewers this week.

It was announced on Thursday night's episode that the vote to save campmates from eviction would be opening later in the evening. Host Ant McPartlin revealed moments into the ITV show: "At the end of tonight we'll open the vote for you to choose the celebrities you'd like to keep in camp." Declan Donnelly later confirmed that fans would be able to "get behind the celebrities you want to save" once open.

The vote marks the first time this series that fans are voting over who remains in camp, with previous votes having been taken to determine who takes on bushtucker trials. The campmates will instead now decide who takes on the next trial. The news prompted excitement from some viewers this week.

Dean has attracted much attention over the course of the series so far and taken on seven bushtucker trials already. Although some fans have speculated that he's been playing up his fear for screen time, others have a "wimp". One fan suggested, through a gif, that he was a "coward" on Thursday.

Some fans warned others over the vote, reminding that it's to save - rather than evict. One commented: "Vote to save, not kick out." Another said: "Remember tonight we start voting for who we want to keep! Vote wisely peeps!"

A third wrote: "I'm hoping everyone has finally learnt that it's always VOTE TO SAVE / KEEP." Among the other posts on the platform that included similar reminders was one that read: "Remember its a vote to keep in, not to boot out." One fan said: "Remember to vote your FAVOURITE not the one you want out."
