Beauty queen Rosanna Davison says Dancing With The Stars gave her her confidence back
But the former Miss World is looking forward to watching it from her sofa in January.
Former Miss World Rosanna Davison has told of her relief that she will be watching next year’s Dancing With The Stars from the comfort of her own sofa - but credited the show with giving her her confidence back.
The model was the fifth celebrity to be voted off the RTE One earlier this year with dance partner Stephen Vincent, just before the quarter finals.
And while Rosanna said she is grateful to have the experience of the show under her belt, she admitted she is relieved not to be taking part next year.

She said: “I will be watching. I’ve no idea who is doing it. I’ll be looking forward to watching it. It was such an amazing transformative experience for me, but I will look forward to watching it with my feet up on a Sunday without having to know the routine.”
The mum-of-three said she was so anxious about dancing on live TV, she had to enlist the help of a therapist to get her through the shows.
“I was so anxious beforehand. I had to speak to a therapist at the beginning, which is bizarre because my whole career has been about being in the public eye and plenty of live TV and being on shows.
“It was the thought of maybe having to coordinate your movements maybe on live TV.
“The idea of having to learn a technical skill or routine that was very much beyond something I have ever done before.
“I never had any sort of formal dance training so that was the terrifying bit, but I feel very proud of myself that I conquered the fear.”
Speaking at Human + Kind’s star-studded event where Rosanna is an ambassador for the beauty brand, she admitted that she felt like she was competing with herself – revealing the show helped her build back her confidence.
“I felt like I was going to be competing with myself which sounds cheesy and cliché, but it really was a very personal project for me to just move away from the very intense years at home with the kids and do something that was about building my confidence back again.
“It did everything I set out for it to do and so much more.
“It really helped. It was more than done its part. By the time I left the show, I had done everything I set out to do. I had proven to myself that I could do that on live TV and learn a routine in five days.”
Asked about what advice she would give next year’s batch of hopefuls, she said: “It consumes your life, your thoughts physically and mentally, your energy, everything.
“My advice would be to really look after yourself and get as much sleep as you can. It can be draining. Eat well and do everything you can to preserve your energy during the show.
“Just have fun. It is a really fun experience. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.”
But she jokingly added: “I don’t know if Wes would allow me to do it again. He took all the parenting on.”
Rosanna and Wes have just been given the keys to their new home and are currently renovating.
“It’s taken years and I don’t think it was a surprise to anyone to hear that.
“When Oscar and Hugo came along, we realised we needed more space. We were planning ahead for the future when they will be teenagers and have friends over.
“We love the house we’re in, but we need more space. They’re sharing a room at the moment, and I think in the future they’ll want their own room.
“We started looking and a year went by and we hadn't found anywhere.
“We were looking for in terms of a safe area, not on a main road, we needed a garden because they’re really outdoorsy kids. We were looking for a house maybe where their bedrooms are on the same floors as ours.
“There were just different criteria for what we’re looking for.
“The renovation we’re doing is mainly confined to the kitchen and living room. We’re just creating an open plan.”
Speaking about the renovations, she said jokingly: “It’s quite overwhelming as well. It’s expensive and it's long term and you really have to commit to it, it’s like getting married.”
