The film, Kneecap, has picked up four awards in the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) craft categories.
The awards were announced in London on Tuesday morning ahead of next month’s official BIFAs ceremony.
Kneecap’s haul included Best Casting, Best Editing, Best Original Music, and Best Music Supervision for Chris Welch and Jeanette Rehnstrom.

The Sundance breakout also leads overall nominations for this year’s British Independent Film Awards with a sweeping 14 nods, including Best Director and Best Film.

Elsewhere, Alex Garland’s Civil War won Best Effects for David Simpson – his second BIFA win after 2022’s Men. The film also scooped Best Sound for Glenn Freemantle, Mary H Ellis, and Howard Bargroff.
With 12 overall BIFA nominations, Rose Glass’s Love Lies Bleeding won Best Cinematography while Best Costume Design went to Michael O’Connor for Firebrand. O’Connor has previously been BIFA-nominated for his work on The Duchess, Ammonite, and The Electrical Life of Louis Wain.
The winners were rounded out by Lisa Mustafa, who won Best Make-Up & Hair Design BIFA for her work on Unicorn.
The winners in all remaining categories will be announced at the 2024 BIFA ceremony on Sunday December 8 at the Roundhouse in Camden.
