A man has sparked a moral debate after sharing how his wife asked him to get her best friend pregnant so she can have a 'beautiful' child without having to visit a sperm bank
A man has been left dumbfounded after his wife asked him to sleep with her best friend so she can get pregnant have a 'beautiful' child.
The 34-year-old explained how he has been married to his wife Emily, 33, for seven years and has two children with her.
He says they spend a lot of time with Emily's college friend, Sarah, 34, who is now thinking about having a child alone and raising it as a single mum. Describing their dynamic, he said on Reddit : "We've had an unconventional but incredible relationship that includes her college best friend Sarah.

"What started as a drunken threesome in Cancun during spring break evolved into an amazing dynamic between the three of us. Sarah's been like a second mum to our kids since day one. She's there for every birthday, every milestone, and even helps with nighttime routines when she stays over.
"The kids adore their 'Aunt Sarah'. She's independent, successful, and has never wanted to settle down but lately, she's been talking about wanting a baby."
However, after putting the children to bed one night, Emily turned to him and asked him whether he'd consider being Sarah's sperm donor, explaining how she doesn't feel comfortable with sperm banks.
He added: "Emily said something that's been keeping me up. 'What if Mark was your donor?' she said to Sarah. 'You've seen what amazing kids he makes,' she added with a wink. I nearly choked on my drink. But as the conversation developed, it was clear this wasn't just a passing thought.
"They'd been discussing it for weeks. Sarah's been researching sperm banks but feels uncomfortable with the idea of an anonymous donor. Emily thinks it's perfect, Sarah gets a baby from someone she knows and trusts, and our children would have a half-sibling they already love.
"The kicker? They don't want to do it through a clinic. They want to do it 'naturally' because of our existing dynamic. Emily says it would be more meaningful, more intimate. Sarah blushed when she agreed, saying she'd prefer it this way too."
He added: "Unable to contain her excitement about the idea, Emily spoke about how 'great' it would be for their children to have a half-sibling at Sarah's house, and brainstorming the future family holidays they could go on together.
"What's messing with my head is how excited Emily gets talking about it. She can't hide the excitement at the idea of me getting her best friend pregnant, just like she was when we were trying for our kids. Sarah keeps giving me these shy looks that drive me crazy, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't attracted to the idea.
"I know I should probably say no. This could complicate everything. But watching them plan and discuss it, seeing how much they both want this... I'm seriously considering it. The thought of having another child, this time with Sarah, with Emily's blessing and enthusiasm, is starting to feel right in a way I never expected."
Worried about the legal implications this could have, he has decided to speak to a lawyer about the unusual agreement. He admits he is coming around to the idea - but has taken to social media to ask users for their thoughts. In response, one user said: "It would be a no from me. For the kids sake."
Another user added: "You’re better than me I’d be telling this story in the past tense because it would’ve already happened." While a third warned: "Don't do it. There will be lot of jealousy games in coming years and you will not be to focus on other areas of life."
