Storm Bert hits today's GAA fixtures leading to postponements, pitch inspections and venue changes
One fixture not effected is tonight's eagerly awaited Kilcoo/Scotstown Ulster semi-final encounter, which isn't on live TV but is available to live stream
‘Storm Bert’ has caused a series of pitch inspections, venue moves and postponements across the country in today’s provincial club GAA championship games.
The storm brought heavy rain and high winds overnight and led to serious flooding in many areas of the country.
In Leinster, the junior hurling semi-finals between Wicklow’s Avondale and Kilkenny’s St. Lachtains (at Bray), and Bray Emmetts (Wicklow) versus St. Anne’s (Wexford) at Aughim have both been moved to tomorrow (Sunday) due to the heavy rain.
The other 10 games in the Leinster club football and hurling championships across the senior, intermediate and junior grades go ahead as scheduled.

The Ulster intermediate hurling encounter between Carey Faughs (Antrim) and Castleblayney (Monaghan), set for Carrickmore today has been postponed until tomorrow (Sunday).
Also in Ulster, a pitch inspection this morning at Celtic Park sees the Craigbane (Derry) versus St. Patrick’s Muff (Donegal) junior football championship game go ahead. The throw-in time is 1.30pm.
The other games in Ulster proceed as scheduled with the highlight tonight’s eagerly awaited meeting of Kilcoo and Scotstown in the senior semi-final at the Athletic Grounds (6pm).
The game will not be televised but can be purchased and viewed via Ulster GAA TV.
The other game in Ulster today, the intermediate football semi-final between Arva (Cavan) and Magheracloone (Monaghan) also takes place at the Athletic Grounds (4pm).
Meanwhile, in Munster, New Inn has been declared unplayable following a pitch inspection this morning.
This means the junior football semi-final between Kilmurry (Cork) and Cashel King Cormacs (Tipperary) has been moved to Fethard Town Park (1.30pm).
Elsewhere the Cappagh/Firies Munster junior football semi-final goes ahead today at 1pm at Austin Stack Park after a pitch inspection.
Meanwhile, Connacht GAA have givem the all clear for the intermediate hurling semi-final between Mayo’s Tooreen and Galway’s Tynagh Abbey Duniry at Dr Hyde Park (1.30pm) today to go ahead.
