A handy guide to the leading Irish football accounts that have joined the Bluesky revolution
Since Donald Trump’s election success in the USA, fuelled in part by X owner Elon Musk, the new social media company has grown rapidly.
Bluesky, one of the latest arrivals on the social media scene, is experiencing astronomical growth in the weeks since Donald Trump’s election victory in the USA.
While some are ditching Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter) for an alternative social media hit, including Bluesky, others are maintaining a presence on X while building a following elsewhere.
And Bluesky seems to be the platform of choice for a growing number of leading Irish football accounts, with more and more League of Ireland clubs, personalities and media joining the revolution.

In a post on Wednesday, the platform boasted that it has pushed through the 20 million mark in terms of registered users, with more than one million newcomers arriving every day.
