Maura Higgins is set to make her debut on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! tonight as a late arrival and it remains to be seen how she'll get on with her campmates
Maura Higgins is all set for an Aussie adventure, joining the I'm A Celebrity jungle alongside Reverend Richard Coles as latecomers to the camp.
Before she makes her big entrance in tonight's show (Thursday 21 November), Maura confessed to The Mirror: "I'm not a nervous person at all. I don't get anxiety. But for this show, when I think about it, I'm like, 'Oh God'."
Maura became a household name during the fifth season of Love Island in 2019, reaching the final with then-beau Curtis Pritchard. Known for her no-nonsense approach and fiery character, Maura's addition to the campsite might shake things up a bit.
As it stands, the mood in the camp has been pretty harmonious, with everyone getting on and friendships starting to bloom. However, based on her time in the Love Island villa, Maura's presence could well cause a split amongst her fellow campmates.
In the villa Maura wasn't shy of a spat or two, and was involved in one particularly memorable bust-up with Tom Walker, reports OK!.
After receiving a text granting her a stay in the Hideaway with a guy of her choice, Maura picked Tom. Things soured quickly when she caught him boasting to the lads with a particularly crude comment, prompting a heated clash after he quipped: "It'll be interesting to see if she's all mouth or not".
She fired back furiously: "What do you mean miscommunication? You said what you said. You said it and now your saying you never said it." Following a heated outburst, she stormed off, saying "I don't want to speak to you," as the other girls told Tom to give her space.
Maura was also known for her outspoken nature and frank discussions about sex. After a romantic encounter with Curtis, she opened up to the girls, admitting she had "f***y flutters", which left them in hysterics.
After leaving the show, she capitalised on the phrase, even launching a cosmetics line with the provocative name.
It's unclear whether Maura will stir up drama in the jungle, but one thing's certain - she'll undoubtedly bring some excitement to the show.
I'm A Celebrity continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX followed by I'm A Celebrity: Unpacked after the main show on ITV2.
