Conor McGregor claim rubbished

Dana White has rubbished claims by Ali Abdelaziz that Conor McGregor turned down numerous offers to fight Justin Gaethje.

Khabib Nurmagomedov's manager claimed earlier this week that the Dubliner has been offered to fight Justin Gaethje "at least five times", but never accepted the bout.

In an interview with Submission Radio, Abdelaziz took aim at McGregor, labelling him "weak" and "soft like a marshmallow".

He said: "Let's be real, Conor McGregor will never, will never... He got offered this fight at least five times. At least five, he never wanted to have to do anything with Justin Gaethje.

"He said the reason he didn't want to fight Justin was because Justin talked bad to him on Twitter [X] and Instagram before, and the history we have with him. He didn't want to lose to our team, I guess?"

When asked when the offers were made, Abdelaziz responded by saying: "Through the last five or six years. He got offered Justin Gaethje so many times, never once, never once this man...

"Even the UFC told me, 'Leave him alone. Don't talk with him, he doesn't like to fight people who talk bad to him on the internet. I promise you, he likes to be the one to start the talk and you retaliate. Why do you think Chandler is being so nice to him?

"Why? Why? Because, he was being told not to talk bad to Conor. Conor has to start talking bad and you talk bad back.

"You know, he's a weak, mental midget. He's soft like a marshmallow and he's a no good son of a b****, this is what he is."

However, UFC CEO White rubbished that suggestion at his Contender Series press conference on Tuesday.

"I don't know if that's true," stated White. "I've said this many times and I'll say it again, I mean, we actually have video footage of Lorenzo and I walking into his [McGregor] house that he was renting here. He just woke up, telling him the fight fell out, and he's literally leaving going, 'Well, I'm going to train, let me know who I'm fighting when I get back.' We've never had those kind of issues with Conor McGregor.''
