The daughter of Flaming Lips star Steven Dorzd has been found after three days.

Charlotte 'Bowie' Drozd, 16, went missing on October 5 in Seattle, Washington close to the Space Needle. Local police said the teenager was last seen on the monorail. According to a missing person poster shared on Facebook, the teen was "possibly headed to Seattle's downtown". The band also shared the missing person poster on their social media accounts. On their Instagram upload, they wrote: "URGENT!!! Please help if you can !!! Steven's daughter (she is 16 years old) is missing !!! She was last seen at the Space Needle early on Saturday….I’ll post more info as soon s I can. #flaminglips "

But according to reports, Charlotte is now safe and with her family. Katy Coyne, the wife of Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne took to Instagram to confirm that Bowie was "found safe outside of Seattle." She added: "Thank you to everyone helping bring her home safely. There's no other information about the situation yet but she was just found."

Fans rushed to the comment section to celebrate the news, with one writing: "Thank you for posting the update. Relieved to hear this and sending love to all involved." "Thank youuuuuu, so relieved, I have been glued to Instagram waiting to see good news," said a second. A third added: "Phew!! I’ve been thinking about all of you."

Meanwhile, local law enforcements said: "Charlotte 'Bowie' Drozd has been located and is safe with her family." Charlotte was classified as a "missing or runaway juvenile" on a local police report. Local cops said she was approximately 5ft9 and weighed around 140 pounds.

A plea from the Flaming Lips on social media read: "URGENT!!! Please help if you can !!! Steven's daughter ( she is 16 years old ) is missing !!! She was last seen at the Space Needle early on Saturday….I'll post more info as soon as I can." Charlotte was last seen just hours after her dad’s gig at The Climate Pledge Arena, according to KCPQ-TV. Eric Munoz of the Seattle Police Department told the publication: "There's no criminal investigation that we've conducted. It's a standard missing juvenile case."

Drozd joined The Flaming Lips in 1991. Originally joining as a drummer, he also played bass and keyboard as well as providing backing vocals. The band recently suffered another tragedy after teen sensation Nell Smith died in a car crash. The 17-year-old musician was best known for collaborating with the band and was set to release her debut album next year.

In a moving tribute, Nell's family confirmed the youngster had sadly passed away. In an emotional statement, they said: "It pains us so much to say that our feisty, talented, unique, beautiful daughter was cruelly taken from us on Saturday night. We are reeling from the news and don't know what to do or say. She had so much more to experience and to give to this world but we are grateful that she got to experience so very much in her 17 years. She has left an indelible mark on the world and an unfillable chasm in our hearts. Hold your kids extra tight tonight and for now please leave us to work through things. We will shout when we need you."

The Flaming Lips frontman Wayne paid tribute to the star during a performance in Poland on Monday. Fighting back the tears, he said: "We have a very sad announcement to make tonight. We have a Canadian friend, her name is Nell. We recorded an amazing album with her three years ago, an album full of songs by Nick Cave. We have some sad messages today - she was killed in a car accident last night (October 6). We are reminded once again of the power of music and how encouraging it can be to be around people that you love."
